BACKGROUND

Transwater started as an engineering supply company dealing in the pumping equipment and engaged in the design and construction of water treatment plants. This year, Transwater will be celebrating its 25 th Anniversary.

In 1981, Transwater Tenaga Sdn Bhd was established. We ventured into the Oil & Gas industry and were appointed the sole representative for Fisher Controls and this relationship still stands.

In 1989, Transwater API Sdn Bhd was established as an associate company to Transwater Tenaga to provide focus in serving the Oil & Gas industry.

On 29th April 2005, Matrix Revolution Sdn Bhd bought over Transwater Tenaga Sdn. Bhd. and Transwater API Sdn. Bhd.

 
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

YTM is a major shareholder of Matrix Revolution Sdn Bhd and Transwater API Sdn Bhd.

YTM Tengku Mustaffa Kamel Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah is also the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Transwater API Sdn Bhd.

EVOLUTION

We are proud that the company growth, progress and vision had paralleled the country's own.

Over the years, Transwater has evolved from a modest small commission agent of hardware supplies to be a locally e stablished product, system, integrated solutions and service provider to Oil & Gas Industry for almost 24 years.

We are pioneer in supplying natural gas metering skids and regulators in Malaysia, since 1990 and now an established Gas Contractor in areas of natural gas distribution

From gas metering, we have developed our capabilities in liquid metering and we are now recognized as Local Metering & System Integration Company for Onshore & Offshore Application and EPCC (Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) of custody transfer /non-custody transfer metering jobs and system integration.

Moving forward, we are now developing our local team into providing Process Systems solutions to the regional market.

 
CAPABILITIES

Transwater is staffed with a group of dedicated employees who are experienced and suitably qualified in the field of work they work in. >60% of our staff are experienced engineers +/ technically trained. Not only we have in-house team capable of assisting our customers in grass root project engineering, we have Plant Retrofit capabilities inclusive of upgrade works, control systems integration capabilities in areas of auxiliary (PLC) controls, MMI & SCADA and Electrical & Instrumentation installation works. Our maintenance & services experiences are inclusive of plant turnaround services, execution of maintenance contracts and performance services besides conventional product services and product diagnostic services.

Transwater recognizes the added-value impact of technology to its business competitiveness and sustained growth. Transwater has been fortunate to absorb technology transfer from our renowned oversea business partners/principals which some of them has > 100 years of research & development.

Our engineers conduct periodic product engineering / application and maintenance schools as part of our value added services to our customers.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

Transwater currently has a workforce of over 130, supporting its various businesses and operations company wide. A good number of employees have been lending their experience and expertise towards achieving the company's goals and objectives.

A company is only as good as the people who work for it. Thus, Transwater view its employee as an important asset that will continue to contribute to its future growth and success, and is fully committed to developing capable, confident and competent employees throughout the company.

Emphasis is being placed on the continuous upgrading and development of skills and competencies. Programmes are being implemented to nurture an adequate pool of effective, dynamic and technically competent workforce.

We have established an Occupational Safety & Health committee to focus on continuous proactive planning, developing and implementing a safe and healthy working environment for all. Transwater is working towards to comply with international safety standard OSHAS 18001 by end 2006.

Transwater's current practice and direction is in line with Malaysia's vision in developing our local resources & capabilities for nation building.

Over the years we have recruited many fresh graduates from local universities and providing them a job opportunity even and an opportunity to grow with the company.

We have also provided opportunity for some undergraduates from local universities to undergo industrial training with our organization in the past years.

Transwater also practices gender equality by providing opportunities growth to our qualified women staff to hold managerial and technical positions in the organization.
 
COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Transwater as a responsible corporate citizen is committed to further developing our contributions to support various social, environmental and community projects, partnering with non-profit organizations, to help the community gain from economic and social opportunities and a better quality of life. Transwater will support these through direct donations of funds or products, and through the dedication of employee volunteers.

As a recent example, the company Sports & Recreation Club members & employee volunteers raised fund & contribution in kind for the victims of the tsunami in Southeast Asia.

We are already clear on one point now: this matters.
